Collartz presents the Recycled Rubber Necklace Air Guacamayo, from the Collartz Collection Air. They are Sustainable Necklaces, handmade with recycled bicycles inner tubes.

The Recycled Rubber Necklace Air Guacamayo is made of recycled inner tubes triangles of 1 x 5 cm. It has a green Murano Glass blown pearl of 2 cm, 3 green and 3 orange smaller pearls. The Silver Sterling wire has a diameter of 13 cm and a magnetic clasp coated in Silver.

The Collection is called Air because of its ethereal materials and the sustainable inspiration they stem from. Each Necklace is named after an exotic bird. Because, even if they still live in the wilderness, us human are threatening them with our invasion of the space and pollution.

The inner tubes are from a local shop close by to Collartz lab. Lidia Pitzalis hopes to contribute to recycling, by turning garbage into wearable beauty, through her brand Collartz. Want to join us?

Collartz presents the Recycled Rubber Necklace Air Guacamayo, from the Collartz Collection Air. They are Sustainable Necklaces, handmade with recycled bicycles inner tubes.

The tubes are collected at Punt de Trobada, a shop that restores classic bicycles in the Poblenou area of Barcelona. After the sanitizing process, Lidia Pitzalis cuts them by hand and threads them on a Sterling Silver wire and combines them with blown Murano Glass pearls, handmade by expert Venetian glass makers.

Each ear, we throw 8 million tons of plastic to the Ocean. In 2050 there will be more plastic than fish in our seas. Plastic does not disintegrate, it just shreads in smaller bits called microplastic. These bits are eaten by plankton, fish and birds. We can all have a more active role in reducing such contamination, with simple habits. For instance, we can reduce single plastic usage, which accounts for 50% of the plastic in Oceans. And say no to straws, by in markets and use our own fabric bags.
